Our family history starts with the Kings of Ireland to Anthony of Lisheenboy and continues through Charles Carroll
the Settler to Charles Carroll of Annapolis, to Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the last surviving signor of the Declaration
of Independence. Charles Carroll of Carrollton holds a special place in the hearts of all O'Carroll's and Carroll's
worldwide as our founding and liberating Father who wrote the address for the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and signed the same
Document.
Charles Carroll was a lawyer, a statesman, a continental congressman and a true Royal Irishman. See more about
Charles Carroll and places to go on our weblinks below. If you are related to Charles Carroll of Carrollton, you should
check out Clan Cian and all our relatives, and certainly would be worth a visit to the Carroll Homesteads
in Maryland. They will treat you ever so nicely in Ely O'Carroll County, Ireland. See our ancestral Castles below.
Our collective efforts for 2007-2008 are to secure and locate Carroll's nationwide and memorabilia from families of the
Carrolls as well as historical family heirlooms from Charles Carroll'[s homes and continued lines. If you would like
to donate family photos, letters, documents, clothing items, artwork, furniture, dishware,
coat of arms marked items or Carroll marked items for display and historical
review by patrons and family members please contact us at the email below.
Memberships to the Historical Society are $50 per year. This entitles you to
newsbriefs on historical evidence of Charles Carroll and family, to attend
Carroll Family Banquets held annually. You'll receive newsbriefs and pictures on new items donated, the donor's name,
and the historical value of items collected for museum housing.
Should you donate an item, your name will be forever attached as the donor of said item.
